"cops" are disgusting.

while watching court tv this evening there was an entire half hour segment of "cops" dedicated to catching prostitutes. i watched while a cop fooled a dozen prostitutes to get into a cop car, which was then immediately pulled over by more cops who then talked to the prostitutes like they were 3 years old before arresting them.

“do you know why you were pulled over? do you?”
“were you soliciting? (repeat) were you soliciting?”
“did you offer him sex for money? money? (si, hablo ingles)”
“where do you live?”
(and to the last question at least 3 said they didn’t have a home, while 2 said that they lived in a trailer park)

first off, the idea of “cops” to me is horribly backwards: let’s show why law abiding citizens (read: white, middle-class, suburban folk) should continue to be scared of the “black man” or the “hispanic drug dealer” or the “crack whore”- because there out to get ya, you know? and although I don’t condone prostitution, you have to believe to some extent even prostitutes don’t want to be prostitutes. after seeing about 7 prostitutes pulled over, body slammed (by men twice their size, no less) and arrested, you notice a trend. so, what the hell? i “love” that americans love to watch tv shows based around not just the poor trying to survive against the odds; be it from drugs, alcohol, surviving on the street, escaping from abusive households, and/or trying not to starve, but doing so in such a tragic way.
what about real fuckin’ criminals? people who are murdering people? robbing people? hurting people?! cry me a river, i know. i just think that it's completely disgusting.

true true.

You could totally have this conversation with Miranda, she has a lot to say about cops.

Once our friend's neighbor, who was a cop, came over drunk because he heard we were having a party, and brought his gloc and showed it to everyone and showed the girls how he handcuffs people. It was so creepy!

Michael Moore had a really good show called Corporate Cops for a while. He'd go around in his squad car and arrest corporate criminals...

Ok it was only a short skit on the Awful Truth, but it was pretty good.
